Based on extensive research, Weisman creates this fascinating thought experiment. The book provides scenarios of what would happen in different regions of the world if humans just disappeared. It also describes some pristine regions of the world that have been barely affected by humans for comparison. Many of the author's ideas come from materials deterioration data , archaeological data, and on known environmental effects on animal and plant species. This is a very interesting book.
