The Devil in the White City - Erik Larson
Daniel Burnham was the head architect in charge of design and construction of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. H. H. Holmes was a serial killer that was active in the area at around the same time. The book focuses more on the World's Fair than the murders so the title is somewhat misleading. I enjoyed reading about the World's Fair but the author didn't seem to have enough information on Holmes to make that part a very interesting read.
