The Complete Persepolis - Marjane Satrapi

This is an account of Satrapi's life as a child during the Iranian Revolution and until she graduates from university and leaves Iran for the last time. It's written as a cartoon strip which sounds odd but it's very effective. Reading about life for a young Persian growing up inside and outside the country was very enlightening. Setrapi has a great sense of humor.
