The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - Jean-Dominique Bauby

Bauby had a severe stroke when he was 43 that left him paralyzed and unable to speak. His condition was called "locked-n syndrome". He could communicate only by blinking his left eye, which he did to dictate this memoir. This is a wonderful and deeply moving book.
