The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz

I can definitely understand why this book won the Pulitzer prize for fiction. It's about a Dominican family that lives in New Jersey. Oscar is an overweight nerd that obsesses over women but never has a girlfriend. We also learn about the lives of his relatives in the Dominican Republic during the Trujillo Era. This book is way better than I've made it sound.
