Eve is a serial killer that has killed sixteen women by apparently exposing them to meningitis, then letting them die a horrible death. It's a typical "FBI agent looking for the serial killer" story except for some unusual twists. The author gives us a very thorough understanding of the killer by including pieces of a newspaper story throughout the book.
