There were parts that were interesting like the plight of Chinese immigrants and how restaurants are set up and run. There are also parts that were boring like specific restaurant reviews that seemed more like thank you for the info notes to the owners. The history of the fortune cookie is somewhat interesting but dragged out through the book. An OK read.
