1776 - David McCullough
Engagements from the Siege of Boston to the battles at Trenton and Princeton are described in this well-written account of the Revolutionary War. The author depicts Washington as a great but inexperienced and indecisive man that would never give up. Certainly, Washington had many problems to contend with such few troops, little funding, bad weather and having to lead a group of inexperienced "neosoldiers" into battle against Britain's professional military. I enjoyed this book.
