Bianchi is a Guatemalan artist that creates art quilts using ethic designs and fabrics. The book showcases her work and details of a few of her designs are included that the reader can try. She quickly describes the overall basics of quilt making; this is not an introductory or step-by-step guide. A considerable portion of the book describes the land and people of Guatemala, which provides the inspiration for most of her quilt designs.
