Nim Chimpsky: The Chimp Who Would Be Human - Elizabeth Hess

Engrossing. The author shows how humans and chimps and are very much alike in many ways. Nim was raised with a human family as part of an experiment and could use sign language (ASL) to communicate with people. The researcher, Herbert Terrace, concluded that chimps could learn words but couldn't use language, which has since been disputed. This is a great story.
