Fascinating. Shubin shows us how similar we are to other living and ancient animals, both physically and genetically. We are even similar to jellyfish and sponges in some ways! Most interesting are examples in the fossil record that show the first fish that possibly walked (scooted) on land, an ancient fish with a skull made up of tooth material, and a creature that has both reptilian and mammalian features.
