The author takes a poetic look at employment. He follows people in ten different occupations, most of which are virtually invisible to the rest of world. So what really goes into making that widget? The author observes and interviews people that are involved with occupations such as biscuit making, rocket science, accounting, and cargo ship spotting. I enjoyed it.
