The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini

This book is awesome. It's very well written and the characters are so real, it seems more like a memoir than fiction. Every time I thought something would happen, something completely different (but heartbreaking!) would happen. The story gives us a view of Afghanistan; it's people, traditions, the Russian war, and life under the Taliban. I highly recommend this one.
